Overfile

A chess card puzzle where the board hates you.

Drag chess piece cards onto a 5×5 board to capture enemies. Each card costs AP :  run out and it's game over. The board has opinions about your plays.

Made in 3 days as a concept.

Gameplay

• 5 cards per round , pawns, knights, bishops, rooks, and the rare foil queen
• Capture enemies using real chess attack patterns
• Escalating rounds with blocked, frozen, cursed, and bonus tiles
• Combo multipliers and ELO scoring
• A snarky narrator that roasts your misses and occasionally nudges the board out of the way

Controls

• Drag cards onto the board
• Right-click / Escape to cancel
• Escape to pause
